Jesus and The Holy Spirit Help Us Pray

In these Scripture about provision, we see that God helps us with everything, including prayer! So encouraging.

“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:26-28 ESV)

Bible Verses About God Lavishing Us In Grace

His grace is sufficient. Scripture about the Lord providing grace are endless. These are just a couple that help me stay focused.

Scripture About Provision: Healing

I need healing. My body is broken. My heart is torn. He is the God who heals as we see in these Scripture about provision of healing and restoration!

Breakthrough or Deliverance Is A Provision of God

The Bible doesn’t specifically say the word breakthrough, though we pray for that often. What we do find are Bible verses about deliverance. He delivers us for our troubles when we cry out… that is the same as a breakthrough.

“When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.” (Psalm 34:17 ESV)

“Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.” (Psalm 107:6 ESV)

This is another topic I will come back to. God is our deliverer! When we trust in Him, He works miraculously!*

Bible Verses About Provision: The Holy Spirit Provides Council

I love the Holy Spirit. This past couple of years I have really been studying in the Scripture about who He is and how He works in our life… I feel I wasted so many years in ignorance! We will circle back to this topic later!*

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” (Psalm 32:8 ESV)

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.” (Proverbs 18:10 ESV)

“My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.” (2 Samuel 22:3-4 ESV)

*I could give you an entire list for just this topic… in fact, I think I’ll come back to it and do that in another article! God has been my hiding place for a long time. Praise Him for hiding us and restoring us during waiting time!

The Lord Gives Help When We Are In Trouble

Who needs help in their current trouble? My hand is raised high! These verses are an encouragement in this season.

Scripture About Provision: He Is Our Protector / Defender

God protects us and defends us from harm. Do you believe that?

“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” (Exodus 14:14 ESV)

God Changes Hearts

Praise the Lord He accepts us as we are but doesn’t leave us there. God changes hearts. He is changing mine and I can trust Him to change others!

“The Lord your God will change your heart and the hearts of all your descendants, so that you will love him with all your heart and soul and so you may live!” (Deuteronomy 30:6 NLT)

“Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26 NASB)

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NASB)

God Love Unconditionally

The Love of God is the greatest gift. His love took on flesh and made a way for us to be in a relationship with Him. Praise His name!

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?” (Romans 8:35 ESV)

“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:9-10 ESV)

A Way Out of Temptation Is Always Available

Do you struggle with temptation? If you are human I know the answer. Me too. This is a good reminder. Scripture on provision tells us He provides a way to escape temptation without sin.

“No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13 NASB)

Verses About God Providing Financially

Do you have financial needs? Take them to the Lord.

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and put Me to the test now in this,” says the Lord of armies, “if I do not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.” (Malachi 3:10 NASB)

“Honor the Lord from your wealth
And from the first of all your produce;
So your barns will be filled with plenty
And your vats will overflow with new wine.” (Proverbs 3:9-10 NASB)

Jesus Saying God Provides For All Your Physical Needs

What are your physical needs? He will provide.

“Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:26-33 NASB)

“Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!” (Luke 12:24 NASB)

God Provides for the Impossible

Nothing is impossible with God. With God all things are possible. I love that three of the gospels repeat this promise. God can do all things. He can provide even when it feels impossible.

“And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26 NASB & Mark 9:23-25 NKJV)

“For nothing will be impossible with God.” (Luke 1: 37 NASB)

Faith is something God rewards by moving in impossible ways.

God does speak to prosperity.

“You shall walk in all the way which the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you will possess.” (Deuteronomy 5:33 NASB)

Scripture About Faith Leading to Miracles

He is the God of the miraculous. When we walk in faith, He will move mountains!

“if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.” (Matthew 17:20 NASB))

“And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you.” (Luke 17:6 NASB)

Bible Verses About God Providing Good Things (Blessings)

This set of Bible verses shocked me. God says He provides good things (blessings) many times in Scripture!

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened… If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:7-11 NASB)

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
The Lord gives grace and glory;
No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” (Psalm 84:11 NASB)

“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.” (James 1:17 NASB)
